“We’ve achieved a lot together, but there’s more to do” Rachel has said as she launches her re-election campaign.

Supporters joined Rachel at the launch of her general election campaign on Saturday (June 1st) at the Arrow Valley Country Park.

Rachel is standing for re-election on her record of delivering on the promises she’s made.

This includes securing huge investment in the Alexandra Hospital, from an £18.8 million operating theatre complex to securing the return of the Garden Suite Chemotherapy Unit.

Rachel’s campaigning has delivered generational Government investment in Redditch. The £16.6 million Town Deal she secured to regenerate the town centre is one of the single biggest Government investments in Redditch since it became a new town. Rachel also secured a further £5 million in the Spring Budget to level up arts and culture in Redditch.

The local candidate also kept her promise to vote for the toughest ever legislation to stop the boats and to tackle illegal migration.

Speaking following the launch of her campaign, Rachel said: “Redditch and the Villages is my home, and it has been the honour of my life to serve our wonderful constituency in Parliament for the past seven years.

"I've been humbled and grateful for the support I've received so far from local residents across the community. We’ve achieved a lot together, but there’s more to do. It’s only with your help that I can continue to deliver real results such as returning maternity and children's services, just as we worked together to return the Garden Suite Chemotherapy Unit.

“Others can often over complicate politics, but for me it’s really quite simple: get on, do the job and deliver results – and that’s how I’ve always operated.

Rachel has vowed to continue building on her record of delivering results, and that is the message she will be taking across the constituency, including the villages of Wychbold, Upton Warren, Harvington and Norton which are joining the constituency following the boundary review.

“I will continue to fight to return a maternity and children’s service to the Alex – and I’m the only candidate in this election with a Long-Term Plan to achieve this,” Rachel added.

“I will ensure the £16.6 million Town Deal I secured for Redditch regenerates the town centre and as many residents as possible feel the benefits of the £5 million to level up arts and culture.

“And from Wychbold to Harvington and from Feckenham to Hanbury, I will continue to champion our villages and our rural communities.

“I know illegal migration is a top concern too, which is why I voted for the toughest ever legislation to stop the boats. I want to see flights off the ground to Rwanda, making it clear that, if you enter our country illegally, you will be detained and swiftly removed. The Conservatives are the only Party who actually want to stop the boats.

“It would be an honour to be re-elected on July 4th and I hope to speak to as many residents as possible over the next five weeks.”
