Following TP3’s Queen’s Award win, Rachel Maclean, the MP for Redditch County, visited the award-winning firm to congratulate them on their success.
The leading global innovator and provider of thermal protection for temperature sensitive cargo recently won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is one of the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, designed to recognise and encourage outstanding achievements in the fields of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.
Based on the Washford Industrial Estate in Redditch, TP3 won this year’s Queen’s Award for International Trade for its outstanding short-term growth in overseas sales over the last three years.
TP3 manufactures a range of single use and re-usable thermal protection for all modes of transport for small parcels, pallets, air cargo and ocean containers. The Redditch firm’s overseas sales have grown by 187 per cent over the last three years. The proportion of sales exported has also increased to 74 per cent of total sales.
As Queen’s Award winners, representatives from TP3 attended a Royal reception at Buckingham Palace last month and were given a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal bowl. The firm can also fly the Queen’s Award flag from their HQ and use the emblem on their marketing materials.
Past winners of the award have reported benefiting from worldwide recognition, increased commercial value and a boost to staff morale.
Following her visit to TP3 to congratulate them on their Queen’s Award win on Friday, July 6th, Rachel said: “TP3 is a thriving Redditch business providing jobs for local people and supporting our town’s economy.
“It was a huge honour to visit their HQ to congratulate all the staff on their Queen’s Award win. It was clear to see on my visit that TP3 deserved to win this prestigious award.
“I’m incredibly proud that another Redditch business has won a Queen’s Award, once again helping to put our town on the map as a place businesses can thrive and create the high-skilled and high paid jobs of the future.”
