Rachel at Redditch Train Station

Rachel is urging residents to have their say on a draft strategy to improve rail services in Redditch.

Worcestershire County Council has launched a consultation on its draft strategy to deliver better rail improvements across the county.

The Worcestershire Rail Investment Strategy includes a commitment to redevelop Redditch Train Station to create a modern, high-quality gateway to the town.

There is also the ambition to increase the number of trains per hour between Redditch and Birmingham.

Rachel said:

“Investment in rail services is key to economic growth and achieving our Net Zero ambitions.

“Redeveloping Redditch’s Train Station and increasing the number of trains per hour is all part of our plan to unlock Redditch’s full potential, and so I’m pleased to see these commitments in the Worcestershire Rail Investment Strategy.

“I’m now urging my constituents to have their say on this draft strategy. Your views could help shape the final version of the County Council’s Rail Investment Strategy.”

The consultation is open until 5pm on October 21st 2022. To have your say visit: https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20055/strategies_plans_and_bids/1922/worcestershire_rail_investment_strategy
