Rachel has secured a parliamentary debate on the deportation of foreign national offenders.
It’s taking place next Wednesday (February 7th) from 4.30pm – 5.30pm in Westminster Hall.
With her constituents consistently raising immigration as one of their top priorities, Rachel will use her debate to question the Government on the work it is doing to deport foreign criminals who should not be in the UK.
“The first duty of any Government is to keep its people safe, and deporting foreign criminals who should not be in our country is a vital function of that responsibility.
“However, the Legal Aid brigade, charities and Labour MPs, including the Labour Leader himself, have shamefully campaigned to prevent foreign thugs from being deported.
“So, I’ve secured this debate to question Ministers on the work they are doing to deport these criminals to keep our streets and our country safe in the face of unrelenting challenges from those who seek to thwart this work.
“My constituents consistently tell me that immigration is a top concern for them. It is for me too which is why I’m doing everything I can as your MP to support measures to get foreign criminals out of our country and to strengthen our borders.”
