Rachel has welcomed new figures that show there are now more businesses in Redditch and the Villages than when she was first elected.
The data from the House of Commons Library found there were 3,765 VAT or PAYE registered enterprises in the constituency in 2023. That’s 440 more businesses in Redditch and the Villages than in 2017.
Ever since Rachel was first elected, she has shone a light on these businesses to demonstrate that Redditch certainly packs a big punch on the world stage.
Rachel said:
“As someone who worked in business for decades before entering politics, I have always championed and supported our local businesses.
“With 440 more businesses in our constituency compared to when I was first elected, we’re clearly heading in the right direction.
“More businesses means more jobs and economic growth which funds our vital public services.
“I’ve visited many of these new businesses and seen for myself the jobs they’ve created for local residents and how they’re supporting our economy.
“I will continue to support pro-business, pro-growth policies so even more businesses can be created in Redditch and the Villages.”
