Residents will have more opportunities to tour Parliament and meet their MP following the return of Rachel Maclean’s successful coach tours.

After a two year absence as a result of the pandemic, the extremely popular coach trips return in 2022 with new dates announced.

Tours are currently scheduled for the following dates:

  • Friday, 17 June 2022. This includes a Q&A session with Rachel and professional guided tour around Parliament.
  • Friday, 01 July 2022. There is no Q&A session on this trip, but there will be extra time to look around Westminster and professional guided tour around Parliament.

Residents will get the chance to see both the House of Commons’ and House of Lords’ chambers (dependent on availability), and visit the famous Central Lobby and ancient Westminster Hall where King Charles I was sentenced to death and which has hosted many famous visitors including US Presidents, the Pope and Nelson Mandela.

Rachel said:

“Having run 11 of these trips since 2018 I know how popular they are, and I am delighted to be able to welcome constituents back into the Palace of Westminster after a gap of far too long.

“It presents a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of our wonderful and historic Parliament building – to be able to walk around the House of Commons’ chamber and visit the magnificent House of Lords where the Queen’s Speech is delivered.

“Everyone who has been on one of these trips – without exception – has thoroughly enjoyed their day.”

There will be other trips in September and October and into next year, but if you would like to book onto one of the above trips, please e-mail to express your interest. A booking form is also available on Rachel’s website at:

Tickets cost £19 each and cover the cost of the coach.
