Government investment in Arrow Valley Country Park is “further proof we’re making Redditch a great place to live” Rachel has said.

On Friday (April 21st), the town’s MP visited the much-loved 900-acre park to see how the £85,000 from the Government’s Levelling Up Parks Fund has been invested.

The main play area has been extended with a new inclusive basket swing and teqball table - a cross between football and table tennis – added.

A new orchard of at least 25 Worcestershire fruit trees will also be planted and a new, expanded nature wayfinding trail with accompanying leaflet will be made available for park visitors.

The Boathouse Café at the Arrow Valley Visitor Centre has also recently opened following investment from Conservative-led Redditch Borough Council.

Rachel said:

“We don’t just talk about unlocking Redditch’s full potential, we’re actually getting on and delivering real improvements.

“This Government investment in Arrow Valley Country Park is further proof we’re making Redditch a great place to live and to raise a family.”
