Rachel said: “I’m delighted and honoured to have been appointed by the Prime Minister as Minister of State in the Ministry of Justice.
“I’m looking forward to working with Justice Secretary Brandon Lewis MP and the team to protect the public from serious offenders, improve the safety of our prisons, reduce reoffending and deliver swift access to justice for all.
“I want to reassure my constituents that my new role will not affect my work as their local MP. This is my third ministerial position now and in that time I have continued to deliver on my top priorities for Redditch and the villages. My first priority is always my constituents and I remain here to serve you as I have consistently done.
“I was a Minister when I secured the commitment from the Trust to return the Garden Suite to the Alex, and fighting for our hospital and for the return of a maternity and children’s service will remain my top priority.”
