Rachel swapped politics for the fast lane as she met Redditch’s motorbike racing superstar Trystan Finocchiaro.
The 19-year-old journalism student met Rachel on Tuesday (August 28th) to talk about his successes so far and his ambitions for the future.
Trystan currently competes in the World Supersport 300 series and is the only British rider competing in the championship this season.
Rachel said: “It was a huge honour to meet Trystan and to congratulate him in person on everything he’s achieved in his career so far at such a young age. Trystan is clearly incredibly talented and I’m sure he’ll be a MotoGP star of the future!
During their meeting, Trystan spoke to Rachel about the cost of competing in the World Supersport 300 and how much he relies on sponsorship from Redditch businesses to be able to compete.
Rachel added: “As you can imagine it costs a lot of money to compete in the World Supersport 300, and Trystan’s family heavily rely on fantastic Redditch businesses to sponsor Trystan. If you know of any businesses who might be interested in supporting Trystan then please get them to contact him via his website: www.trystanfinocchiaro58.com/.”
Local businesses who sponsor Trystan will be able to promote their brand to a national and global audience, with World Supersport 300 broadcast to 90 countries around the world, including Eurosport and ITV here in the UK. Sponsors will also get their company logo on merchandise and branding, as well as the ability to bring key colleagues, customers and guests to top events and be treated as VIPS.
Many Redditch businesses already sponsor Trystan, including Transmec Group and Kerax Hyperdrive.
