Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, is urging residents to have their say on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s plan for a safer West Mercia.

Following his re-election this year, John Campion has launched a new plan which sets out his vision and promises for West Mercia Police over the next four years.

The four main aims in the Commissioner’s Safer West Mercia Plan includes: putting victims and survivors first; building a more secure West Mercia; reforming West Mercia; and reassuring West Mercia’s communities.

As part of a consultation to gather views, residents can now have their say on the focus for policing in the coming years and how it will benefit Redditch. Residents views will then be used to help shape the final version of the plan.

Rachel works closely with the Commissioner on issues affecting Redditch, which includes the need for more police officers on the streets. Since John Campion was first elected in 2016, West Mercia now has almost 400 more police officers.

The consultation is open now and will close on Monday, November 1st. Click here to read the draft Safer West Mercia Plan and take part in the consultation survey.
