Rachel is delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Christmas card design competition.

Earlier in the autumn, Rachel invited all children at schools in Redditch or who live in the constituency area and who are up to the age of 16, to submit their designs on a card to be printed and sent out to her various contacts within business, education, charities, religious, Government and other organisations.

Dozens of entries were received and in the end Rachel had a job picking just one, so picked two – one pre-school entry and one from a high school pupil. The winners are as follows:

Niamh Hamrahan, aged 13 from St Augustine’s Catholic High School submitted a superb entry with her picture of the water tower in Headless Cross having been visited by Father Christmas.

Molly Glover’s delightful picture of four reindeer won for her. She is just three and attends the pre-school at Oak Hill First School.

Each of the designs will now be reproduced 500 times with the name of the designer on the back of the card, while their families (up to four people) will be given the chance to visit the Palace of Westminster on one of Rachel’s coach tours.

Rachel said:

“I would like to thank all those who took the time to submit entries to the competition this year. The standard of artwork was really high, and it was quite a job picking just one winner – and that’s why I picked two!

“Niamh’s colourful and locally depicted scene of the famous water tower will reproduce beautifully, while Molly’s utterly charming picture of the reindeer was so endearing, I couldn’t help but pick it out. Well done to both of you.”
