Rachel has welcomed £3.9 million in Government funding to provide her constituents with financial help and support this winter.
The Government recently announced that a new Household Support Fund will make financial and other assistance available to those most in need this winter and through until the end of March 2022.
Worcestershire County Council has been allocated £3.9 million from this fund to support people in need in the county. At least half of this funding is ring fenced to support families with children.
The support fund can be used for energy and water bills, as well as other essentials such as heating.
“The Government is continuing to support my constituents during this pandemic, and this £3.9 million from the Household Support Fund will ensure those who are most in need get help and support.
“Protecting my constituents from rising energy prices is this Government’s top priority, and I will continue to work with Ministers as they work to reduce bills to help hard-working families in Redditch.”
Act on Energy is providing this service across Worcestershire and can be contacted by calling 0800 9882881 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
