“As we unlock Redditch, a major part of the plan was always to find our police a new home which is fit for purpose. Having visited the Archer Road police station a number of times, it’s clear our officers desperately need a new base.
“A blue light hub has been discussed ever since I was first elected 4 years ago, so I’m very glad progress has been made and I congratulate everyone involved in getting the project to this stage.
“I’ve had many conversations with our Police and Crime Commissioner, the fire service and our local councils over the years to do what I can to support this project.
“Residents want to see regeneration of their town and progress being made, and this blue light hub is one of many steps on our journey to unlocking Redditch’s full potential.”
