Following confirmation from Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust that women attending their hospitals for antenatal scans can bring their partners from March 1st, Rachel said:

“I feel for women who have been separated from their partners at their antenatal scans.

“As a mum of four, I know it’s a stressful time, so after myself and my fellow Worcestershire MPs raised this issue with hospital bosses, I very much welcome the measures the Trust are putting in place to support expectant mums and to protect hospital staff at the same time.

“The Trust’s next step is to introduce lateral flow testing to enable partners to attend all antenatal appointments, again another step to be welcomed.”
