Ahead of Remembrance Sunday on November 8th, Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, is urging residents to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Today (October 30th), Rachel joined members of the Redditch Royal British Legion in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre to sell poppies and other items to raise funds for this important cause.

Like many things this year, the Poppy Appeal has had to adapt to the impact of COVID-19 and the Royal British Legion is asking the public to support them like never before.

In backing the RBL’s call, Rachel said:

“The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community – and perhaps more than any other year, the Royal British Legion needs our support.

“Like every year, I know Redditch will get behind the Poppy Appeal. But ahead of this year’s Remembrance Sunday, every poppy really does count, and every donation will really help raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion.”
