Rachel is reminding anyone in need of help or who would like to volunteer to use the County Council’s Here2Help service.
This week, Rachel spoke to the Leader of the Worcestershire County Council, Cllr Simon Geraghty, and Chief Executive Paul Robinson to discuss the council’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Rachel said: “It was reassuring to hear from Simon and Paul that the County Council is well prepared and will do whatever it takes to support residents during this difficult period.
“The Government has given councils millions of pounds to support them, and I will continue to ensure our councils have the resources they need.
During their phone call, Rachel and other Worcestershire MPs discussed the County Council’s community action response service.
Here2Help is providing support for vulnerable people and those who will have to self-isolate. The Here2Help website will provide a central location for the vulnerable that are unable to seek help from family, friends and neighbours. They can request help, volunteer to help and find useful resources.
“I would encourage all my constituents to use this centralised service,” Rachel added.
“Whether you’re in need of support because your unable to leave your home, or if you’re keen to volunteer – the Here2Help service will get residents the help they need as we pull together at this difficult time.”
