To support residents in self-isolation as the country tackles coronavirus, Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, has launched a community book exchange.
Residents will be able to donate their unwanted books and share them with others to help people keep their minds stimulated during periods of self-isolation.
A volunteer network has been set-up so the books for donation can be collected, the covers cleaned with anti-bacterial wipes, and then delivered to those who have requested books through the exchange.
Rachel said: “As we all must avoid social contact as much as possible, we’re going to need activities to keep our minds stimulated as we spend more time at home.
“I thought this book exchange would be a great way for the community to come together, to donate their unwanted books and to share them with others at a time when we all need to come together and support one another.
“All the information you need to join the book exchange is on my website.”
