After the Prime Minister set out his intention to upgrade 20 hospitals, Rachel has written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer to make the case for the Alexandra Hospital to be upgraded.
Last Wednesday (July 24th), during his first speech as Prime Minister on the steps of Downing Street, Boris Johnson announced plans to upgrade hospitals across the country.
Rachel then seized the initiative and used her first question to the new Prime Minister in the House of Commons last Thursday (July 25th) to urge him to make the Alex and the Worcestershire Royal Hospital number one and number two on his list of 20 hospital upgrades.
And today (July 31st), Rachel is keeping up the momentum by writing to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sajid Javid, to make the case for the Alex and Worcestershire Royal to be upgraded.
“I’m seizing the initiative and getting in there early by making the case for the Alex and the Worcestershire Royal to be upgraded. There’s a strong and compelling case for the two hospitals to be number one and number two on the Prime Minister’s list of 20 upgrades.
“I will continue to lobby the Government on this. I won’t stop until my constituents get the first-class healthcare services they deserve.”
