Speaking to the Redditch Advertiser regarding Persimmon’s planning application to build 960 homes in Brockhill, Rachel said:

“Everyone is well aware of the need for more homes so that our kids and grandkids can get their foot on the housing ladder.

“However, Persimmon has unfinished business here in Redditch. They still owe Redditch Borough Council around £500,000 in Section 106 monies. As I’ve said before, the Borough Council stands ready to work with Persimmon to resolve these ongoing issues. I’d once again urge Persimmon to get around the table and work constructively with the Borough Council.

“The people of Redditch must come first. We need to see these longstanding issues with Persimmon resolved first before they look at building even more homes in our town.”
