Two Redditch companies, which feature in London Stock Exchange Group’s flagship ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ 2018 report, have been praised by Rachel Maclean, the MP for Redditch County, for helping to boost the town’s economy.
F.W Thorpe Public Limited Company, an electronic engineering firm, and Lexon (UK) Limited, a professional services provider, are included in the report which profiles the 1,000 most dynamic and fastest growing SMEs across the UK.
These two successful Redditch companies make a massive contribution to the town’s economy and are big employers too. Thorpe employs 591 people, with Lexon boasting 820 employees.
The two firms are also continuing to recruit new staff here in Redditch. In the last two filings made to Companies House, the data shows Thorpe has recruited 77 new staff and Lexon has employed 336 new people.
